Good afternoon my casual reader

Guys and gals, this is Jeff here in Birmingham, that is Alabama to you that don't know your USA geography well. I know there is a Birmingham, England as well as I think one in Michigan but I am in the real Birmingham, USofA!

It is great getting my home on DSL and wireless and buying a 3 or 4 lb. notebook that is available from anywhere I chose. Where am I? I have a living room on the second floor of my home looking out on a cul de sac and with dogwoods in front and hardwoods along my drive. The dogwoods are better than the 32" television with a picture window that is about 8 feet across and in true color and digital in every nature.

Right now I have a bevy of crows that have discovered the acorns on the ground in my yard and are gingerly scooping one up in their claws and now sitting on a dogwood tree limb, duly pecking the acorn into pieces efficiently removing the meat from inside the nut. I have never been a lover of crows but they are so funny. The show just too many human characteristics that it is funny. They quarrel then push and shove for space on a limb where there is room for plenty. A power struggle if I ever saw one.

Then a hundred migrating blackbirds coming swooping in and cover my lawn like a dark black blanket. They are furiously gathering seeds and bugs and whatever before continuing their voyage to wherever. But hope you don't have your car parked under the tree they may use to roost in overnight. The same with some canneries that do the same and their deposits will eat through the best coat of wax.

I had a chance to write while doing some laundry downstairs and my dryer has just called. I stripped the beds, and sheets and pillow cases are now dry. I loaded a run of red, yes I know to wash this separately unless you want all pink underwear or shirts. They are now ready for the dryer so gotta go fold sheets and switch loads. Talk later....
