Grandfather Mountain Highland Games July 2006

Dear Friends and family,

Some of the high points, just to list a few....

1. Rented nice 4 bedroom, 3 floor home on Sugar Mountain

2. Juanita and Bob, Us, Paul, Shana and David and Hayley, David's 6 yr. old, and Kris

3. Good food, good fellowship, great time together

4. Grandfather Mountain Highland Games Sat and Sunday

5. Parking pass, right behind Cameron Tent, wow!

6. Cameron Foods, hot coffee/cocoa, and beverage of choice

7. Temperatures at night, low of 51

8. Temperatures during the day, high of 73

9. Humidity very low

10. Beautiful mountains, and flowers everywhere!

11. Greeting new comers and old friends at the Cameron Tents

12. Electing new officers for next 4 years, yours truly Under Secretary 2006-2010

13. Homemade Peach Ice Cream, Lemmon's I85N, exit 87 on way to NC...yum!

14. SC peaches to Highland Games and cut up on cereal or have with 1/2 and 1/2...yum!

15. Homemade Peach Ice Cream, Lemmon's I85S, exit 87 on way home...yum!

16. Car, 2004 Taurus SES, performed flawlessly, and 31.5 mgh on I/S

17. Breakfast Sunday am at the Tartan Restaurant with all the Cameron Clan

18. Selling Karen's Kraft @Cameron Tent, raising money for Cameron Clan, fun!

19. King size bed, private upstairs and bathroom for Jeff and Karen, Nice!

20. Paul coming to the games on a motorscooter, a tiny Stella brand bike, made it fine!

21. No Cell phone, No internet, No interruptions, just US and Grandfather Mountain!!!

After I read the words "Homemade Peach Ice Cream" I found it difficult to concentrate on the rest of the post. Last night at the supermarket I stood in front of a display of peaches and just smelled them for a while. They brought back such wonderful memories. My best to the clan.
